The compaction operation of a Road roller greatly depends on the weight of the entire vehicle which determines the size of compression force employed. Their basic design generally consists of a heavy and bulky big drum-like part which provides most of the compression force, a set of wheel to facilitate mobility and a propulsion engine. In road construction, different types of rollers are used at different stages based to attain a different overall result.
