Why 925 Sterling Silver Jewelry is Not a Good Investment
I absolutely love rings and bracelets,

I thought that my rings and bracelets were somewhat valuable, but I recently found out that they are not a good investment. I wanted to sell the rings that fit my wedding ring finger. I am engaged and will no longer wear them, but I have decided to give them away for Listia credits since they have very little monetary value. I had considered buying and collecting .925 sterling silver gemstone rings and bracelets to save for my daughter, but the jewelry is not a good financial investment.
A Visit to a Local Jewelry Store and Pawn Shop
I recently considering selling my 14k gold rings that did not fit, but after finding out how much they were worth to local jewelers, I decided they were worth more to me. One
925 silver ring factorywas a mother's ring that did not include my daughter's birthstone. The ring was purchased before she was born. The other ring was an engraved gold band that my mother had given me. It was something she had purchased for herself many years ago, but it did not fit either of us. I would have felt bad trading the ring for the small amount of cash that local jewelers were willing to offer. Even though gold prices are high right now, I decided to keep the rings.
I had brought along a few .925 sterling silver pieces of jewelry, and although I knew they were not worth as much as the gold, I decided to ask what they were worth. One of the .925 silver rings was gold plated, and from a distance it looked real.
designer cufflinks The jeweler sounded disappointed when he said that it was .925 silver, and although it was gorgeous and included a lab created amethyst, it was only worth a few dollars in cash. It was obviously not a good investment, and I suddenly had a different opinion of .925 sterling silver jewelry.
It is Not Worth Pawning or Selling
I no longer consider .925 silver jewelry a good investment. It is not worth selling to a pawn shop or jeweler. It will not turn the skin green, but it is not currently a good investment. People have been given the false impression that .925 sterling silver jewelry is truly valuable. It has value, but from a resale standpoint. Consider selling it on eBay instead of giving it away to a pawn shop or a jeweler, but be prepared to wait. The Internet is literally flooded with .925 sterling silver jewelry.
The Beauty and Durability of .925 Sterling Silver Jewelry
Even though I do not consider .925 silver jewelry a good investment, I will continue to purchase eye catching pieces. I love the way it looks, and it is something that I personally consider valuable. Silver jewelry stamped .925 is far more durable than silver tone jewelry. It is ideal for those that want quality jewelry and cannot afford expensive gold items. It is moderately priced, and the designs are endless. However, it is not a good investment for those
